Beefy Earnings Stump Analysts

It's usually a bit déclassé to say "I told you so"--but sometimes, it's justified. We have been saying for longer than we can remember that the widespread (in fact, nearly unanimous) belief that corporate earnings must decline sharply is wrong. Nearly half of the companies on the S&P 500 have reported so far, and for those, earnings are up 11%.
